Troubleshooting Index
Question:
How do I remove the http://www.moltengold.com/cgi-bin/eBzget.pl?.....
URL which appears when one of my product pages is accessed directly from a third party web site?
Answer:
Step1: Backup your existing web site
Step 2: Rename your index.html page to index1.html
Note: We have added javascript to the following page
code so you do not have to change any existing links. However we recommend
you update links to point to index1.html instead of index.html throughout
your web site - this will cause your web page to load faster and is good
housekeeping.
Step 3: Create a new index.html page with the
following code. The javascript element must remain exactly as shown below,
no new line breaks etc.
Step 4: Create a new page called empty.html
with the following code.
<html>
</html>
Step 5: You have now done enough to prevent the MoltenGold URL showing when someone enters your site from the front page. However, if you want to make it work when someone enters directly into a product page e.g. from a search engine, add the following code to the top of the HEAD section of every page you wish to divert. NB. You should add this to all your pages, not just the product pages, otherwise if someone enters at, for example, your "About us" page and then goes to a product page, they will still see the MoltenGold URL.
