| How to insert the eButtonz Head Code into your web page using Notepad | |||||||
|
Please be patient, this web page includes multiple, large images to assist you. Note : You can generate your eButtonz code at any time by logging in to your account and selecting "Products & Buttons". 1. First make sure you select all the eButtonz head code within the eButtonz web page and then select: Edit > Copy. This action will copy the eButtonz head code onto your computer's clipboard (memory).
3. Once you have opened your web page select: view (see diagram below).
3. Select "Source" as shown in the diagram below. This action should open the application "Notebook". You can use Notebook to manually edit the code of your web pages.
4. As you will see, Notepad had opened on top of Internet Explorer and it displays the code that makes up your web page. All web pages begin as follows (with slight variations) : <html> The eButtonz head code needs to be inserted before the end head tag (</head>)
6. See how in the example below we have created a space between <title>My Mobile Phone Page</title> and </head>. Do the same in your web page if necessary as this is the point where we will insert the eButtonz head code.
7. Remember, the eButtonz head code should be stored in your clipboard (see 1). We are now going to paste in the code at the correct insertion point (see 6) In Notepad, select: Edit > Paste
8. Notice in the diagrams below how the eButtonz head code has been pasted into your web page, after the <title>My Mobile Phone Page</title>
and before (on scrolling down the page) the </head> tag.
9. Last and most importantly in Notepad select: File > Save. You have successfully added the eButtonz head code to your web page. Please remember that all pages that feature the eButtonz shopping cart system must have this head code added to them.
